Paradiso has followed a spiritual path for many years, and has a thriving and rapidly growing career as a musician and sound therapist. Paradiso's music has been featured in movie soundtracks, nominated for multiple "best of" categories by the prestigious New Age Reporter, and consistently ranks high on satellite and radio charts. He has released several albums, including three solo CDs - Healing Vibes, Shaman's Trance and Middle Path - featuring the didjeridoo accompanied by keyboards, percussion, vocals, the theremin and other exotic instruments. Healing Vibes is Meditative/Healing music; other albums offer his Ambient, World Beat, Trance and Electronica compositions. Learn more on the Music page. Paradiso has performed in celebrated musical and metaphysical venues nationwide, including New York's Carnegie Hall and the East West Bookshops, both as a solo artist and with many world-class artists and bands. He often appears in smaller venues to maximize the healing effects of the didjeridoo on those in attendance. See a calendar of some of his upcoming events here. Created by the Aboriginal Australians over 40,000 years ago, the didjeridoo (also known as the didj, didgeridoo or didgeridu) is commonly accepted as the world's oldest wind instrument. It is played with the unique and challenging "circular breathing" method, which involves inhaling and exhaling simultaneously. The didjes melodic, tonally layered, powerfully uplifting and grounding tones have been shown to carry the listener into the alpha and theta states of brain activity (associated with deep relaxation and meditation) within a few minutes, and are increasingly popular today for both musical and healing purposes. For more about the specific therapeutic uses of the didjeridoo, please see the Private Sessions page. We love to hear from you!
